Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we need it, and who sees it. We don't sell your information.

Who we are
Oak View Debt Relief is a debt settlement company based at 11899 Edgewood Road, Suite L4, Auburn, CA 95603. This policy explains what we collect when you use our website, call us, enroll in a program, or log in to the client portal, and what we do with it.
You're trusting us with your income, your debts, and sometimes your Social Security number. We take that seriously, and we've tried to write this in plain English so you can see exactly where your information goes.
What we collect
What you give us
- Your name, phone number, email, and mailing address
- How much you owe, who you owe it to, and your account statements
- Your income, monthly expenses, and hardship details
- If you enroll: your date of birth, Social Security number, and bank account details for your dedicated account
- Messages, documents, and uploads you send us or put in the portal
What we collect automatically
When you visit the site, your browser sends us things like your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you looked at, and how you got here. We use cookies and similar tools to collect some of this.
What we get from others
With your permission, we may pull a credit report to see which debts qualify. Once you're enrolled, we get account information from your creditors and collectors, and transaction details from the company that holds your dedicated account.
How we use it
- To check whether you qualify and walk you through your options
- To run your program: negotiating with creditors, scheduling deposits, and paying settlements you approve
- To keep you updated by phone, text, email, and the portal
- To verify your identity and prevent fraud
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations
- To fix problems with the site and make it easier to use
Calls, texts, and email
Calls with us may be recorded for quality and compliance. We'll only text you if you've agreed to it, and agreeing is never a condition of enrolling. Reply STOP to any text to opt out. Message and data rates may apply.
You can unsubscribe from marketing email with the link at the bottom of any message. We'll still send emails about your account while you're a client.
How we protect it
The site and portal use encrypted connections. Inside the company, only people who need your file to work on it can see it, and our vendors are held to the same rule.
No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise. If we learn about a breach that affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires. We will never call, text, or email to ask for your portal password.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you're a client, then for as long as federal and state record-keeping rules require. After that we delete it or strip out anything that identifies you.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you what we have about you, correct something that's wrong, or delete it. We may need to keep some records to finish a settlement in progress or to comply with the law, and if so we'll tell you which ones and why.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to delete it; to correct it; to opt out of its sale or sharing; and to limit how we use sensitive information. We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.
Some information we collect to provide financial services is covered by federal law (the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act) instead, and the California rules don't apply to it. Residents of other states with similar privacy laws have similar rights, and you can use the same contact details below to exercise them.

Our services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
